Codes are bonuses that reward the player with Gems, Diamonds, or items. They can be found in the National Geographic Kids Magazine and Almanac/Infopedia, and are occasionally featured on the Daily Explorer. Other ways codes are distributed are from the Jam-A-Grams AJHQ sends on special occasions, such as holidays. Each code may only be used once, and both non-members and members are able to.
- The Wolfenoot Full Moon Cake can be seen here. The AJ Birthday Cakes are released each year on Animal Jam's birthday, September 9th. This wasn't when Beta Testing was available, but on Animal Jam's official opening. Each cake was available from a limited-time code, with the exception of the 7th birthday cakes.

Cheats:
How to get Rainbow potion: Go to Brady Barr's Lab in Temple Zios and click the game button next to the chemistry set. Then,(in order) click the red potion 3x, then blue 3x, then green 3x and then heat it up 3x. Then put your mixture into any of the test tubes and you'll get a rainbow potion!
How to get Phantom cotton candy: First, in the summer, go to the Summer fair on Animal Jam and go to the cotton candy stand. Follow these instructions: First put in the black sugar, then white and then black again. The result is PHANTOM COTTON CANDY!
Rabbit party cheat: Go to the rabbit party and jump on the biggest trampoline. Get 50 or more rabbits to jump with you and you'll get a prize! The prize also can be a fox hat!!
Gecko glitch: Write in the code gecko when you login. Then, when you get the gecko, click the gecko plushie more than once and go to another place on animal jam. You will get another gecko plushie (depending on
how many times you click it)!! Though because this is a glitch, It may not work ALL the time :(. But it is worth a go :)! Also, this can only be done once since it's a code!
How to get into a den if it's locked: If your trying to get into somebody's den but you can't because it's locked, try and get them onto epic dens and when you have done that, go to the epic den list and there will be their username. Click on it and you will be in their den!
April Fools sign cheat: Do you know when you get a picture if you click on something at a party? For example, at the wolf party, you click on the moon and you get a picture of a moon on your right side. Well, I have a cheat that can change your picture every couple of seconds! First you have to go to the April Fools Day party and click on a cake or doughnut. Then when you have your picture, click at stuff in the room repeatedly and you'll get random signs popping up on your right!
How to get free chat: Go to Animal Jam (where you login) and click on the button that says parents. Activate your account (near parents dashboard). If you don't have one, MAKE one. When you have done that, it will show you your account. Click on it and it will have three chats you can use. Click on restricted chat and you will have FREE CHAT!!
How to get a bow and arrow or a non member sword: These are my two options that I am going to give to you: EITHER WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS EVE because on Animal Jam, they give out free presents everyday in december animal jam and on Christmas Eve, one gift gives you a BOW AND ARROW! But you can't always get the right colour bow you might want because the colour of the bow is random unless you trade for the right colour bow you want. My other option is to go onto the game SKY HIGH in coral canyons and play it a lot of times until you get a NON MEMBER SWORD. You can really get it!
Phantom Vortex prize: On Halloween, go inside the phantom vortex and play the phantom game. Finish each level up to level five. When you have finished level five, you will get a PHANTOM FOUNTAIN!!
How to Take a Screenshot:
It's super easy to send AJHQ a great screenshot from your adventures in Jamaa. Just follow the instructions below according to the type of computer you are using.
For PC's
- Make sure the picture on your screen is just how you want it to be.
- Press the PRINT SCREEN button. (This is usually located near the upper right corner of your keyboard and says PRNTSCR.)
- Open up a picture editing program like Paint.
- Press the CTRL and V keys at the same time to paste your image. (You can also select Paste from the top of the screen.)
- Save your picture in either .jpg or .png file format.
For MAC's
- Make sure the picture on your screen is just how you want it to be.
- Press COMMAND (the button with an apple on it next to the spacebar), SHIFT, and 3 keys at the same time.
- Your image will be saved to your desktop as a .png file.

Shrinking birthday cake trick: Take out the birthday cake and place it somewhere in your room (it has to be animal jam's second birthday cake). Next, click the drop of icing (the one at the bottom layer of cake, the 4th drop of icing on the right). Instantly you'll see the cake shrink in size!
Penguin skating birthday cake trick: Place Animal Jam's 3rd birthday cake somewhere in your house and click on the purple tent on the left side of the cake. A penguin will appear from behind the mountain, skate down and fall through the hole in the lake. For fun, you can repeatedly click the tent. If you do this, a HUGE group of penguins will come waddling out and will all fall into the lake.
Hiding and finding trick: If for some random reason, your friend is trying to hide from you in YOUR den (can't be anybody else's or else this won't work), if you want to find them, follow these instructions:
Either 'edit' your den and remove objects from your den until you find them. Remember: Put the objects you removed back where you put them so the person hiding won't know that you did that.
Or, try to trade something with them. the trading sign will appear above their head, and you can easily see them this way. Warning: You have to be quick to cancel the trade and find them. This trick might need to be repeated because you can't move when you trade something.
If you are trying to hide from your friend this time, remove all things from your trade inventory, so your friend won't do the same trick you did.
