Footwear is an important part of the armor of any Jammer. Often, the footwear comes in the form of gauntlets. However, sometimes you also get socks! Today, we are going to take a closer look at the Candy Cane Socks, and what makes them special in Animal Jam.
Candy Cane Socks first appeared in AJ on December 14, 2014. They came as the 14th gift of the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar. After its initial success, the socks were added to the calendars of 2015, 2016 and 2017. Recently, the dark red variant was reintroduced to the game, made available in the Jamaaliday Shop. It was available between July 26 and August 2, 2018.
In the picture above, you can clearly see that the socks are meant to be festive. They give a Christmas vibe, as if Santa himself would be wearing these. They usually have a main color, and have white stripes going through them. There are eight different varieties of socks.
Animal Jam Candy Cane Socks Varieties
There are a total of eight different varieties of socks available, including a Rare Item Monday version. The color varieties are as following; Dark Red, Blue, Peach, Pink, Turquoise, Purple and Red. In the pictures below, you can see what the different varieties look like.
Rare Item Monday Candy Cane Socks
On December 21, 2015, the Rare Candy Cane Socks were released in Jam Mart Clothing, as a RIM item. They actually seem rather similar to the regular red variant. However, the RIM one has the rare tag on it.
Magenta Candy Cane Socks
Apparently, there is a magenta version of these socks available as well. They only have their base color, which means that you won’t see any white stripes on them. It is unconfirmed how you can obtain these socks, and they are extremely rare to find in game.
Black Candy Cane Socks
Another one of the extremely rare socks are the black variant. They appear black, with white stripes. It is said that hackers have added these socks to the game, and made them unobtainable afterwards. In any case, finding these socks in game is an impossible task. Only a handful of people own these.
How to Get Candy Cane Socks in Animal Jam
Obtaining rare items can be quite a task in Animal Jam, especially if those items have not been sold in the game for quite some time. However, there are certain ways that allow you to still obtain some Candy Cane Socks for yourself. Let’s take a look at how you can do that.
Trading
Firstly, you are going to want to look for Jammers that own these socks, and are willing to trade with you. Go to the Jamaa Township or Diamond Shop, and you will see a group of players that are looking for trades. Ask for the Candy Cane Socks, and if someone is willing to trade with you. If you find someone, simply offer something of equal value.
